Boston Consulting Group Partners with WeWork on First Office in Carolinas

BCG’s Raleigh-Durham Office Marks Second New-Market Expansion through Partnership With WeWork

Raleigh-Durham, NC – April 5, 2022Boston Consulting Group (BCG), one of the world’s leading management consulting firms, announced it recently opened its first office in the Carolinas at WeWork One City Center. WeWork (NYSE: WE), the leading global flexible space provider, said that through this deal, BCG now occupies approximately 11,450 square feet in its downtown Durham location.

The Raleigh-Durham space is BCG’s second expansion to a new market with WeWork following the company’s Nashville office opening in September 2022. With WeWork’s turnkey space and the ability to scale its footprint as its workforce evolves, BCG is better positioned to meet top talent where they are by offering workspace that meets today’s demand for flexibility.

Framed by floor to ceiling windows, BCG’s WeWork office features a variety of workspace solutions for its hybrid workforce, from intentionally designed lounge seating for collaboration to phone booths for privacy, geared to help build team culture and boost productivity for diverse workstyles. BCG employees will also have access to WeWork’s common areas and shared amenities within the building, all within the center of downtown Durham.

“Opening our first office in The Carolinas was a no-brainer. Home to emerging talent and some of the most innovative companies – and with a quality of life that’s hard to beat – Raleigh-Durham is the perfect fit for our global network of BCGers,” said Paul Poduri, Managing Director and Partner, Raleigh-Durham Office Lead at the Boston Consulting Group. “As BCG continues to enter new, exciting markets, partnering with a company like WeWork enables our team to remain well-positioned for growth. We’re so excited to open our doors to the Raleigh-Durham community.”

Raleigh-Durham has emerged as a growing market for WeWork as companies, like BCG, prioritize agile workspaces and desirable locations to attract talent and expand their business. Demand for flexible access to workspace has gained momentum in the area; in February 2023, WeWork saw a 33% increase in WeWork All Access bookings and 64% increase in WeWork On Demand bookings year-over-year.

“We’re encouraged to see BCG not only growing their real estate footprint around the country, but doing so with WeWork,” said Suzie Russell, Territory Vice President of Atlantic, WeWork. “As we saw with BCG’s office in Nashville, WeWork’s turnkey and flexible workspaces enable companies to expand to new markets quickly while minimizing traditional uncertainties. We look forward to supporting BCG’s entry into the Carolinas and are confident that Raleigh-Durham, a market long-known for innovation and a deep talent pool, is the right location for this new chapter in their story.”
