WeWork On Demand expands to six additional U.S. markets

With a return to the office now on the horizon, the need for clean, flexible workspace will grow

New York — WeWork, a global leader in flexible space solutions, has announced that WeWork On Demand is expanding to six additional markets across the U.S., following a successful national expansion in November last year.

As a result of positive member feedback, WeWork On Demand will be expanding to: Nashville, Dallas, Houston, San Diego, Salt Lake City and Orange County. In total, WeWork On Demand is now available in 17 markets across the U.S., with users able to book space in over 190 buildings nationwide.

WeWork On Demand is a new offering that allows individuals pay-as-you-go access to clean and convenient workspace for only $29 per day (or meeting rooms starting at $10 per hour). Through the free WeWork On Demand app, WeWork is digitizing its real estate portfolio to provide individuals with the ability to choose where, when, and how they work, right from their phone.

“We’re excited by the continued success of WeWork On Demand and, following our national expansion last November, are thrilled to be able to further expand this offering to six additional markets across the U.S.,” said Prabhdeep Singh, WeWork’s Global Head of Marketplace. “Whether someone is looking for face to face collaboration, a distraction-free workspace near their home, space to take important meetings, or just a change of scenery with fast WiFi and amenities, On Demand can meet those needs at the touch of a button.”

During the first 60 days of the initial New York City pilot program, nearly 700 workspace and conference rooms were booked through the On Demand app, with more than half of these users coming back for at least a second reservation.  Throughout the eight-week pilot, WeWork saw steady growth in both users and reservations week over week, with an 84% spike in users and 41% increase in reservations during a recent week. Users appreciate the flexibility of easily and quickly securing space, with most users booking their reservation less than one day prior to use. WeWork expects this pattern to grow with the national expansion of On Demand.

WeWork locations participating in On Demand have a number of amenities for visitors, including unlimited coffee, outdoor space, bike storage, a mother’s room, and more. To learn more about On Demand, visit www.wework.com/info/wework-on-demand.
