WeWork, a global leader in flexible space, today announced that Melinda Holland will join the company as Head of Sales for the United States and Canada, effective March 15. Melinda will be responsible for leading WeWork’s sales, leasing, and broker teams, driving all sales activity across the United States and Canada, WeWork’s largest region.
A respected voice in the real estate services industry, Holland brings to WeWork more than 25 years of experience leading specialty leasing, revenue partnerships and new business initiatives. Holland most recently served as SVP of Business Development at Brookfield Properties, one of the largest real estate services companies in the world.
“We are thrilled to welcome Melinda to our team at WeWork, and admire her integrity and accomplishments as a leader in the real estate industry. Her experience in championing strategic business growth is an invaluable addition to WeWork, particularly as Covid-19 has fundamentally shifted the idea of the office,” said Shyam Gidumal, President and COO of Americas at WeWork.
He continued, “We know that companies small and large are rethinking their real estate footprint, which uniquely positions WeWork to thrive in a world where flexibility and optionality are now paramount. We will benefit from Melinda’s expertise as we deliver on our future business objectives.”
“There has never been a stronger moment for flexible office space. WeWork’s model provides easy access to flexible and intentionally-designed workspace that can fit the needs of any business or individual. I’m thrilled to join WeWork at such a transformative time for the idea of the office,” said Holland.
Holland holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Among all of Holland’s accomplishments, she claims her greatest achievement is keeping up with her two sons alongside her husband.
