WeWork supports Houston after Hurricane Harvey

Over the last several days, we have received countless calls and emails from our community asking how we can help those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Houston mayor Sylvester Turner established the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund (housed at the Greater Houston Community Foundation) to coordinate giving under one trusted organization, ensure transparency and maximize the local impact.

Today, WeWork is donating $150,000 to this fund. We are also asking our members to join us in making a contribution. In turn, WeWork will match donations made on crowdrise.com/wework up to an additional $100,000.

Many friends and families of our community have been personally affected by this tragedy and their courage has inspired us to act. In fact, the Texas community teams are currently hard at work hosting blood drives and gathering/dropping off donations to local shelters.

Texas is showing us what it truly means when a community comes together to help others—but they cannot do this alone. Thanks for being a global citizen and supporting your fellow WeWork members of Texas. Your thoughts and contributions will help to rebuild a better, strong community.
