WeWork, TheLi.st Partner to Champion Opportunity for Women in Business

Partnership provides programming, networking, and mentorship opportunities for women in a new world of work

New York, NY – March 10, 2022 – WeWork (NYSE: WE), a leading flexible space provider, today announced a partnership with TheLi.st, a community of high-impact women in media, technology, business and entrepreneurship. The partnership will include a new speaker series featuring members of TheLi.st and offer women-led businesses discounted access to flexible workspace beginning this Women’s History Month, and extending throughout the year, encouraging an ongoing dialogue about breaking the bias and barriers for women in the workplace.

As companies and employees transition to post-pandemic work strategies — whether remote, in-office, or hybrid — creating an equitable work environment for women that encourages productivity and flexibility has never been more crucial. To help women find success in an evolving world of work, WeWork and TheLi.st will join forces throughout the year to provide curated programming, networking and mentorship opportunities to WeWork members. TheLi.st members will also have the opportunity to join the WeWork community through discounted WeWork All Access memberships. WeWork All Access is a monthly subscription-style offering that provides access to WeWork locations all around the world.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, WeWork and TheLi.st will also host a series of conversations in WeWork spaces beginning in New York City and Los Angeles titled “Changemakers: Women & Work” featuring members of TheLi.st who are re-shaping the way we think about diversity, ambition and success, including:

  • Daisy Auger-Dominguez, Author of Inclusion Revolution and VICE Media’s Chief People Officer
  • Eve Rodsky, New York Times bestselling author of Fair Play and Find Your Unicorn Space
  • Deepa Purushothaman, author of The First, The Few, The Only: How Women of Color Can Redefine Power In Corporate America

Open to the public, these events aim to spark compelling, open conversations about the future of women and work, and foster networking in each city. More information about these events can be found here

“For more than a decade as a digital community, TheLi.st members have shared expertise, intel and opportunities to help each other succeed.  We are thrilled to partner with WeWork to create places for our powerful and talented community to gather, collaborate and support each other in person.  We are looking forward to joining forces with WeWorks’s extensive network to co-create programming, mentorship opportunities, and events focused on supporting women at work and in life,” says Ann Shoket, Owner and CEO of TheLi.st.

“WeWork is proud to continue our commitment to championing equal access to opportunity by developing new avenues for women to not only navigate the evolving world of work but also access space in a way that works for them to do so.” said Lauren Fritts, Chief Corporate Affairs and Marketing Officer at WeWork. “Through our partnership with TheLi.st, we are able to create dedicated programming that uplifts women in the workforce and moves the needle on gender disparities for more inclusive working environments, not only during Women’s History Month but throughout the year.”

This partnership with TheLi.st is an extension of WeWork’s ongoing commitment to championing opportunity and equality for women in the workplace. TheLi.st joins WeWork’s roster of existing partners focused on women’s empowerment, including Extraordinary Women on Boards (EWOB), a private membership community for highly accomplished women actively serving on corporate boards. These partnerships follow the success of WeWork’s Women for Tomorrow initiative, a partnership with SoftBank and the Women’s Global Empowerment Fund which provided women-led businesses focused on shaping a more equal future with a total of $5 million worth of workspace and mentorship for a year in the U.S. and Latin America.
