Summer Essentials: Greek wine imported by Eklektikon

Tired of sipping the same old pinot grigio? Switch to the summery white called En Oeno… from Greece’s Oenogenesis Winery. It’s a blend of two grapes: a French classic you know (sauvignon blanc) and a Greek favorite that might not yet be familiar (assyrtiko). It’s a winner with wine experts, who awarded it a gold medal at this year’s Texsom International Wine Awards. Aris Soultanos, of the boutique wine importer Eklektikon, calls it an “explosive wine” with an “intense nose of tropical fruit and jasmine.” The WeWork Studio Square member says the wine is available across the U.S., and you can pick up a bottle in New York at Gramercy Wine and SpiritsAmbassador Wines, Brooklyn’s G & I Wines, and Omega Wines and Spirits in Queens.
