Men’s grooming startup wins free office space

Beating out hundreds of other competitors, the pair of young entrepreneurs behind Kent & Bond—the first organic men’s grooming brand—won a year of rent-free office space in New York City, courtesy of Hennessy and WeWork.

The prize was part of the Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège Lab competition, which wrapped up last month. Applicants were asked to submit 60-second videos explaining their companies, their missions, and their goals for the future.

Kent Santin and Benjamin Bond, founders of Kent & Bond, have a unique business model. Besides selling a wide range of grooming products, they donate to communities in need every time someone makes a purchase.

WeWork is providing the NYC office, which can accommodate a team of up to six people.

“Free office space?” said Atom Factory‘s Troy Carter, one of the judges for the competition. “As an entrepreneur, I understand how important something like that can be.”

Carter and other industry executives will serve as mentors for the program, which runs for a year.
