When the warehouses in Chicago's industrial area closed down in the 70's, the large, empty buildings attracted a group of artists and writers looking for loft and studio space, creating a neighborhood that was artistic but financially struggling.

That was the River North neighborhood 40 years ago. Since then, however, the area once known as "Smokey Hollow" has undergone a complete transformation. Today, it is a chic, cultural hub filled with art galleries, boutique gyms, and some of the best restaurants in the world.

We opened our first Chicago community in River North, nestled on Illinois Street between Clark and LaSalle, in May of 2015. Since then, the local community has grown to over 6,000 members who call the Windy City home. Today, we're excited to share that we plan to vastly expand our footprint in the River North neighborhood by the end of 2018 with two new buildings, 515 N. State Street and 330 N. Wabash.
