I read 20 to 40 sales and leadership books a year because I believe that learning different perspectives is the best way to expand upon my own.\u00a0Soaking in the perspectives of the greats will not only inform, but also inspire you to continue improving.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"books-on-sales-leadership\">Books On Sales Leadership<\/h2>\n<p>Here are ten of my favorites books on sales and leadership:<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/The-Challenger-Sale-Customer-Conversation-ebook\/dp\/B0052REP7K\">1. The Challenger Sale: Taking Control of the Customer Conversation<\/a>\u00a0by Matthew Dixon<\/h3>\n<p>This is my favorite sales book written in the last ten years. Dixon finally proved what most sales executives have been saying for years.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Predictable-Revenue-Business-Practices-Salesforce-com-ebook\/dp\/B005ERYEGU\/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1401205126&amp;sr=1-1&amp;keywords=predictable+revenue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2. Predictable Revenue<\/a>\u00a0by Aaron Ross &amp;\u00a0Marylou Tyler<\/h3>\n<p>Ross and Tyler\u00a0set the\u00a0standard for lead generation and prove the importance of predictability in every business.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Art-Closing-Sale-Professional-Selling-ebook\/dp\/B002JLO798\/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1401205214&amp;sr=1-1&amp;keywords=art+of+closing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">3. The Art of Closing The Sale<\/a>\u00a0by Brian Tracy<\/h3>\n<p>Brian Tracy was stuck on a 5 word objection that he couldn\u2019t get past in his sales pitches. Until he discovered a technique that\u2019s still deployed by salespeople today. His tips are timeless.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Secrets-Closing-Sale-Zig-Ziglar-ebook\/dp\/B00B856D16\/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1401205624&amp;sr=1-1&amp;keywords=secrets+of+closing+the+sale+by+zig+ziglar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">4. Secrets of Closing the Sale\u00a0<\/a>by Zig Zigler<\/h3>\n<p>This one is a bit dated but drives home a unique angle on the art of storytelling in sales.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Emotional-Intelligence-Anniversary-Daniel-Goleman-ebook\/dp\/B000JMKVCG\/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1401206524&amp;sr=1-1&amp;keywords=emotional+intelligence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">5. Emotional Intelligence<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0Daniel Goleman<\/h3>\n<p>While most sales books give you actionable advice, this one focuses on the \u201cwhy\u201d behind the tricks of the trade. Daniel Coleman ties in the science of psychology and neuroscience to\u00a0provide valuable insight on how our emotional and rational sides work together.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/s\/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Ddigital-text&amp;field-keywords=now%20discover%20your%20strengths&amp;sprefix=now+d%2Cdigital-text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">6. Now, Discover Your Strengths<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0Marcus Buckingham &amp; Donald O. Clifton<\/h3>\n<p>This one had a profound effect on how I view my own personal development. The Clifton Strengths Finder \u00a0\u2013 an online, personal assessment test \u2014 provides a helpful perspective in absorbing the advice.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Ice-Eskimos-Market-Product-Nobody\/dp\/0887308511\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">7. Ice to Eskimos: How to Market a Product Nobody Wants<\/a>\u00a0by Jon Spoelstra<\/h3>\n<p>A door to door salesman\u2019s experience makes for an entertaining read. You can breeze through this one and get some great advice along the way.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Great-Choice-Uncertainty-Luck--Why-Despite-ebook\/dp\/B0058DTIC0\/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1401207728&amp;sr=1-1&amp;keywords=great+by+choice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">8. Great by Choice<\/a>\u00a0by Jim Collins<\/h3>\n<p>I could have picked \u00a0many of Collins\u2019 books, but I really enjoyed this one. It gets straight to the point with actionable takeaways\u00a0that apply to any size company.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Winning-Enhanced-Jack-Welch-ebook\/dp\/B00BAYBDF6\/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1401208619&amp;sr=1-1&amp;keywords=winning\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">9. Winning<\/a>\u00a0by Jack Welch and Suzy Welch<\/h3>\n<p>This is the first book I hand to new leaders. If you want to manage and lead in a direct and fair manner, make this book your blueprint.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Linchpin-Are-Indispensable-Seth-Godin\/dp\/1591844096\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">10.
