The challenge: sourcing workspace on a worldwide scale<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From your first day of school to your last day of work, Instructure<\/a> wants to help people grow and learn\u2014and they\u2019re doing so on a global scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The educational-software company started in Salt Lake City<\/a> in 2008, and within a few years, they branched out internationally and went public. Evelyn Guerra, senior director of global workspaces at Instructure, was there to witness it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen I joined Instructure, I was here to manage an office, which is our headquarters. Within three months I was tasked with building three locations, and we just kept growing,\u201d Guerra says. \u201cOur growth went from national to worldwide.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While exciting, expanding so fast\u2014and so far and wide\u2014came with its own set of challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructure wanted to set up a satellite office in Hong Kong<\/a>. They needed space in Seattle<\/a> for recruiting engineering talent. They also had remote employees scattered in different cities who wanted to feel connected to the company culture<\/a>. And it was up to Guerra to figure out all of the workspace logistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guerra needed a partner to take on these tasks, so she teamed up with WeWork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
