The challenge: planning for future headcount while scaling globally<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Social media management platform Hootsuite<\/a> was experiencing rapid global growth\u2014an exciting experience for any company. But with growth came the need to accommodate future headcount, and most important, find a new location for their London headquarters. Hootsuite realized that in order to accomplish both, they would need the right flexible real estate solution that could match their speed without sacrificing the employee experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe had been looking for quite a while to move out of where we were,\u201d says Nicole Quinn, executive assistant to the general manager. \u201cOur agent had shown us many different spaces, but nothing was quite right for us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The solution: a real estate partner with scale and speed to match<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The fifth floor of 1 St. Katharine\u2019s Way at WeWork Tower Bridge<\/a> proved to be everything Hootsuite was looking for: a modern blend of private desks, collaborative spaces, and meeting rooms surrounded a central kitchen and lounge area<\/a> where staffers could relax or have informal meetings. The building also boasted a prime location, with stunning views of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy boss took one look at the space and said, \u2018It\u2019s lovely, it\u2019s perfect,\u2019\u201d Quinn remembers. \u201cAnd we made plans to move in as soon as possible.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Now, more than 130 people work out of the new location, and as the company grows, Quinn says, they always have the option of taking more space. The best part? London was just the beginning. Partnering with WeWork gave Hootsuite flexibility and scalability to accommodate international expansion and plan for a dynamic future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By leveraging the WeWork platform and global network, Hootsuite was able to expand their footprint and establish new operations, fast. They quickly opened regional headquarters in New York<\/a>, Sydney,<\/a> Hamburg<\/a>, Paris<\/a>, Mexico City<\/a>, and Toronto<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results: a world-wide network that celebrates locality<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Harmony Cornwell, the company\u2019s senior manager of global facilities, noted that each space and team around the world has unique needs that WeWork can accommodate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of Hootsuite\u2019s biggest challenges has been in Mexico City<\/a>, where explosive growth meant that the company needed to nearly triple the amount of space for its local headquarters. WeWork\u2019s global account manager, Kim Jackson\u2014who handles all of Hootsuite\u2019s locations\u2014made the process simple by scouring WeWork\u2019s local assets to secure the perfect space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s such a great relationship,\u201d said Jackson. \u201cHootsuite knows what their needs are, so we can easily find the right solution. We upgraded them from a 24-person office to a 60-person office quickly and easily. It was a very seamless project.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Mexico to Canada, when Hootsuite needed a swing space in Toronto, Cornwell says WeWork provided them with the perfect solution. \u201cThe other option was an office that we would have to build out and furnish ourselves,\u201d says Cornwell. \u201cThis was a much better solution for us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cornwell says the company\u2019s office space needs change frequently, which makes WeWork an important partner for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
