For example, an hourly employee working half as many hours as a full-time worker has an FTE of 0.5. Tracking workers by this simple metric is incredibly useful for understanding labor costs, planning for new hires, and determining compensation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For employees, there\u2019s a simple way to quickly convert an annual salary to an hourly rate. Divide your gross income by 52, the number of weeks in a year, and again by the number of working hours in a week.
