It was a somber occasion that inspired Keverne Denahan to create KardZee<\/a>, her app to simplify sending cards and gifts. After her parents passed away, the San Francisco entrepreneur was inundated with voicemails and text messages. But what really struck her was the hand-written notes delivered to her mailbox. \u201cI still have those cards,\u201d she says, \u201cand I occasionally look at them from time to time for comfort.\u201d That got Denahan, a longtime gallery owner, thinking about ways to facilitate the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two years ago, the San Francisco-based WeWork 600 California Street<\/a> member founded KardZee. The platform lets you send personalize greeting cards and gift cards, meaning you don\u2019t have to worry about buying a card at the store, remembering where you put your stamps, and then heading to the post office. You can even write cards in your own handwriting, adding the personal touch that Denahan knows people appreciate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI love the tradition of sending personalized cards. I wanted to make that process easier for people.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are KardZee\u2019s most popular cards? Not surprisingly, they\u2019re the major milestones like birthdays and holidays like Christmas and\u2014of course\u2014Valentine\u2019s Day. But what\u2019s a little unexpected is the customer demographics. Men and women of all ages are utilizing the service.
