And along the way she picked up an impressive list of high-profile vendors: Cynthia Rowley, W Hotels, Anthropologie, and Henri Bendel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After her son was born, Pham began posting photos of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/brandypham\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">her collection on Instagram<\/a> in between naps and meals. But all the effort involved seemed to be going to waste. She was struggling to generate business through her own digital storefront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/ideas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/06\/While-the-Kids-Sleep-Their-Parents-Make-a-Splash-on-Instagram2-800x571.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24915\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This all changed when she and her husband Andy Hoang\u2014recently celebrating their 10-year anniversary\u2014focused on building <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planoly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Planoly<\/a>, a visual management platform specifically for Instagram that launched in late 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While Hoang was working in finance, he made connections with colleagues who would later come on board with Planoly. The last piece to the puzzle was Hoang quitting his job to work full time as Planoly\u2019s CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fashion friends loved the idea and spread the word. The result? Planoly&#8217;s users&nbsp;organically grew to 100,000 within eight months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/ideas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/06\/While-the-Kids-Sleep-Their-Parents-Make-a-Splash-on-Instagram3-800x571.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24916\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe moved to Texas when my son was eight months old,\u201d says the member of Austin\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/buildings\/congress--austin--TX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WeWork Congress<\/a>. \u201cWe started thinking more seriously about the company finally, and we felt like we had something sticky.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pham heads Planoly\u2019s creative direction. The draw is that she\u2019s targeting clients like herself who depend on Instagram to generate business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While her clients include major companies like Estee Lauder, L&#8217;Or\u00e9al, Lululemon, Anthropologie, General Mills, and Gerber, there are also people in entertainment, fashion, and beauty\u2014including a handful of up-and-coming Instagram celebrities, influencers, bloggers, and YouTube stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/ideas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/06\/While-the-Kids-Sleep-Their-Parents-Make-a-Splash-on-Instagram4-800x571.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24917\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re proud of what we created, and it was out of my personal need for a jewelry company,\u201d Pham says. \u201cI can produce in small batches and keep it going. Planoly has taken over my life, but I\u2019m still involved in my jewelry collection on a daily basis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Planoly has been attracting venture capitalists, and a team of seven is looking to take its brand to the next level. And just like in their early days, Pham and Hoang focus on finding the right work-life balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen you have a business, that business is your baby,\u201d says Pham. \u201cNo one is going to care about it more than you as the owner.
