From my own personal experience, I know that it just doesn\u2019t work like that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Running a business takes work. Aside from the fact that you need a product or service that creates meaningful solutions for your customers, you\u2019re going to need an intense drive to see your company through even the first few years of being in business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are going to be hundreds, thousands, or even millions of people who are going to be competing against you to build stronger customer relationships. What\u2019s more, is that\u2019s never going to change. It\u2019s only going to get <em>more<\/em> competitive over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve said this to our players over the years: a game is 48 minutes. You practice, even if it\u2019s five times a week, three hours a day. Maybe you work on your game another hour or two a day, and you\u2019re all in if you do that,\u201d Cuban says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He continues, \u201cIn business, it\u2019s 24 by 7 by 365 by forever, and you\u2019re competing with everybody. Business is the ultimate sport\u2014there\u2019s nothing close.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I couldn\u2019t agree more with this point Cuban makes. If you want to become successful as an entrepreneur\u2014especially if you\u2019re starting a business while keeping your day job\u2014you need to be insanely motivated.
