And with the way society casts the ideal woman\u2014tall, thin, large bust (hello, Barbie)\u2014it\u2019s easy to see why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But obviously not all women are built alike, and it can be hard to compare to what is splashed over the Internet and on magazines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luckily, that\u2019s where Kim Caldwell\u2014or Kimmay, as her friends call her\u2014comes in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is the founder of the lingerie marketing company <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hurraymedia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hurray&nbsp;Media<\/a>, uplifting not only women\u2019s bust lines, but also their spirits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/ideas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2016\/03\/This-Lingerie-Marketing-Expert-Uplifts-Bust-Lines-and-Spirits2-800x571.jpg\" alt=\"This Lingerie Marketing Expert Uplifts Bust Lines and Spirits2\" class=\"wp-image-20178\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Growing up near Rochester, New York, Caldwell moved to New York City in 2003 to study musical theater at Marymount Manhattan College. But musical riffs weren\u2019t the only thing in her future. After a brief stint as a shoe saleswoman, she began working at Linda\u2019s, a popular bra fitting shop. It was there, at just 20 years old, that she discovered the power of the bra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen you&#8217;re wearing a bra that fits well and feels great, you can open up, walk tall, and lead with your heart,\u201d says Caldwell. \u201cI truly believe that wearing the right undergarments sets up a woman for personal and professional success.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And after working for other big-name contenders including Saks Fifth Avenue and La Perla, she felt it was time to start her own lingerie marketing company Hurray Media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/ideas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2016\/03\/This-Lingerie-Marketing-Expert-Uplifts-Bust-Lines-and-Spirits3-400x571.jpg\" alt=\"This Lingerie Marketing Expert Uplifts Bust Lines and Spirits3\" class=\"wp-image-20181\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Stemming from her blog, Hurray Kimmay, her company has grown into a major \u201cwebsite destination for women,\u201d giving ladies a place to learn about their bodies, and more importantly, appreciate them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI realized that talking negatively to my body was not just a waste of time, but very damaging,\u201d says the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/locations\/new-york-city\/studio-square\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WeWork Studio Square<\/a> member. \u201cI started my own journey of having a loving relationship with my body, and it&#8217;s my hope that Hurray Kimmay will help other women do the same.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hurray Media is anything but your average lingerie company. It\u2019s about empowering women, allowing them to shine \u201cinside, outside, and underneath.\u201d The bra fittings that Caldwell does? Well, those are simply icing on the cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOnce she is in the fitting room with me, that&#8217;s where I really deliver gold,\u201d says Caldwell. \u201cI help her change the conversation she&#8217;s having with her body, and help her ignore the number and letter attached to the bra. I help her walk tall, lead with her heart, and say hurray. We talk about more than just how the bra fits. We discuss how she feels as a woman.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She doesn\u2019t just work her magic&nbsp;in the fitting room.
