Pretty cool, huh?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/eksterwallets\/ekster-wallets-a-new-payment-experience\/description\">crowdfunding campaign<\/a> is doing exceptionally well, exceeding its $16,440 goal in less than 14 hours. Co-founder Richard Canneman, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/locations\/new-york-city\/fulton-center\">WeWork Fulton Center<\/a> member, shares tips on what he\u2019s learned about launching a successful campaign on Kickstarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2  id=\"alert-the-media-before-you-launch\"class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Alert the media before you launch<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Send out an announcement to the media two to four before you kick off your Kickstarter campaign, advices Canneman. That way when your Kickstarter goes live, there\u2019s already been good press about your product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn our case, Yahoo, Discovery Channel, and Product Hunt\u2014to name a few\u2014picked up on Ekster Wallets, which was fantastic,\u201d Canneman says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2  id=\"address-all-backer-concerns\"class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Address all backer concerns<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to Kickstarter, Canneman emphasizes that you only have one shot at getting it right. Make sure you engage with potential donors as much as possible, addressing their concerns as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCreate free, dedicated time to support enquiries and issues during the launch,\u201d Canneman says. \u201cA lot went wrong going live\u2014shipping rates were too high and needed to be corrected, issues with Facebook sharing\u2014but our team was there, and we were able to reply within minutes, if not seconds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2  id=\"make-sure-your-idea-is-unique\"class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Make sure your idea is unique<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s easy to fall in love with your idea for a company, Canneman says. But it\u2019s not until the idea is tested that you\u2019re able to judge whether it\u2019s a winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWorking on a product launch you always run the risk of convincing yourself that your wallet is really unique,\u201d Canneman says. \u201cAnd let\u2019s face it. There are tons of wallet initiatives out there also on Kickstarter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Canneman says the reaction to the Kickstarter campaign has convinced him about the company\u2019s longterm prospects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe fact that 60 percent of viewers watched our entire product film says something about the appeal,\u201d says Canneman. \u201cApart from the money raised, that appeal is what makes the future bling bling of Ekster bright.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tired of losing your wallet?
