The report reveals how amenities ranging from wellness facilities and dedicated parent rooms to pet-friendly policies and premium food and beverage services show up broadly across the flex sector and separately within WeWork\u2019s spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs businesses continue to refine their workplace strategies and navigate evolving employee expectations, the office is increasingly being evaluated on more than location and design. The experience it delivers, and its ability to enhance the workday, has become an important consideration for employers and employees alike,\u201d said Ebbie Wisecarver, Chief Product and Design Officer at WeWork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Takeaways:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Commute-friendly amenities are the most widely available. Austin leads the markets analyzed, with 66% of flexible workspaces offering parking, bike storage or EV charging, compared with 100% of WeWork locations in the city.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wellness and recreation are prominent in major business hubs. Boston leads in Sports &amp; Recreation amenities, available in 51% of flexible workspaces, followed by Washington, D.C. at 42% and San Francisco at 32%. Every WeWork location across all three markets offers at least one amenity in this category.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dedicated parent rooms is an emerging amenity category. Austin leads the broader market, with 18% of all flexible workspaces offering dedicated parent or nursing rooms. By comparison, these facilities are available at every WeWork location in Austin, Boston, and Los Angeles.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>London leads in pet-friendly workspaces. Nearly three in ten flexible workspaces (29%) in London welcome pets, compared with 93% of WeWork locations in the city that welcome dogs. The data utilized for this section did not account for service-dog friendly locations, which accounts for 100% of WeWork locations across the US.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Premium food and beverage offerings are becoming part of the workplace experience. Boston leads the broader market, with 35% of flexible workspaces offering amenities such as espresso bars, on-site baristas and food halls, compared with 83% of WeWork locations in the city.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>While premium amenities are an important component of the modern workplace experience, the report also underscores how expectations differ across cities. Across the WeWork portfolio, these premium features are complemented by hospitality-driven services, thoughtfully designed spaces and on-site community teams, supporting a workplace experience that extends beyond the physical office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Premium Amenity Mix is based on an analysis of flexible workspace listings from CoworkingCafe across ten major markets in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, alongside WeWork\u2019s amenity data across approximately 600 locations globally. Amenities were grouped into five categories: Sports &amp; Recreation, Parent Support, Pet-friendly, Premium Food &amp; Beverage, and Commute-friendly. Market figures represent the percentage of flexible workspace locations offering at least one amenity within each category, with WeWork\u2019s corresponding figures reported separately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report is a product of WeWork Business Intelligence, the company\u2019s data and insights platform for understanding the complexities of the modern workplace.
