{"id":3000003711,"date":"2019-01-15T12:51:52","date_gmt":"2019-01-15T17:51:52","guid":{"rendered":"\/newsroom\/?p=3000003711"},"modified":"2019-12-12T10:17:58","modified_gmt":"2019-12-12T15:17:58","slug":"wework-celebrates-opening-in-100-cities","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/ideas\/newsroom-landing-page\/wework-celebrates-opening-in-100-cities","title":{"rendered":"WeWork celebrates opening in 100 cities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>WeWork hit a major milestone in December, opening in our 100th city around the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two new WeWork locations are firsts in their countries: Manila in the Philippines and Warsaw in Poland. A fourth city\u2014Osaka\u2014was added in Japan, joining WeWork locations in Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Yokohama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That compares to just over a year ago when WeWork was in 65 cities across 20 countries. To date, we have opened a total of 425 locations, compared with 207 at this time last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Agnieszka Lekszycka, a community manager at Warsaw\u2019s newly opened&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/buildings\/grzybowska-62--warsaw\">WeWork Grzybowska 62<\/a>, says members were excited to move into their offices at the beginning of the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"560\" width=\"995\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/ideas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/12\/WeWork_Grzybowska_62_-_Warsaw.jpg?resize=995%2C560\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3000003715\"\/><figcaption>One of the common areas at Warsaw\u2019s WeWork Grzybowska 62.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur members really like the vibe and how the building is already transforming the neighborhood,\u201d says Lekszycka. \u201cBut most of all, they enjoy the community. It was amazing to hear people introducing themselves and exchanging tips even on the first day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Manila, community manager Wilmer Suzara says new members are already referring friends to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/buildings\/uptown-bonifacio-tower-three--manila\">WeWork Uptown Bonifacio Tower Three<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWeWork&#8217;s first location here in Manila is being very well received,\u201d says Suzara. \u201cThe common areas are always bustling with members interacting with each other, and the events are always well attended.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The continued expansion in Europe, Asia, and Latin America shows how WeWork is truly an international company. In 2018, for the first time, more than half of our growth was outside North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"560\" width=\"995\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/ideas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/12\/WeWork_The_Bower_-_London.jpg?resize=995%2C560\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3000003716\"\/><figcaption>New members at London\u2019s WeWork The Bower.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>WeWork is part of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/blog\/posts\/wecompany\">The We Company<\/a>, which co-founder and CEO Adam Neumann announced last week as a way of \u201cbringing all of our business ambitions together to operate in service of how we work, how we live, and how we grow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This month WeWork also added multiple locations in the UK, our largest market after North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have had amazing feedback from members,\u201d says N\u00e1taly Bonato, community manager at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/buildings\/30-stamford-st--london\">WeWork 30 Stamford St<\/a>&nbsp;in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/l\/london\">London<\/a>. \u201cThe simple design with bold, fun colors; the amazing views; and the communal spaces have been talking points among our members.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the design features of the newly opened&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/buildings\/mariano-sanchez-fontecilla-310--santiago-de-chile\">WeWork Mariano Sanchez Fontecilla 310<\/a>\u2014our second location in Santiago, Chile\u2014is a circular stairway in a striking shade of blue that draws people inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur common floor is on the ground level of the building, and due to its amazing design we are attracting a lot of attention,\u201d says community manager Inge Marowski. \u201cIt is giving us the opportunity to become known in the area.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1715,"featured_media":3000003720,"parent":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"news_tag":[43929],"class_list":["post-3000003711","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v22.4 (Yoast SEO v25.3.1) -
