The <a href=\"https:\/\/flatironschool.com\/london-campus\/\">London campus<\/a> will be located at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/buildings\/131-finsbury-pavement--london\">WeWork Finsbury Pavement<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flatironschool.com\/london-campus\/\">Classes in software engineering and front-end web development<\/a> will begin at the new campus in June. Flatiron School\u2019s online courses are already available in the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flatiron School became a part of WeWork last October. Founded in 2012, Flatiron School has worked to create a new educational model to deliver fulfilling careers in today\u2019s tech-oriented world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLondon is an ideal location for our first overseas campus,\u201d says Eugen Miropolski, WeWork\u2019s managing director for Europe. Miropolski mentioned the city\u2019s \u201cthriving tech startup scene\u201d and \u201cwealth of opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with opening the London campus, WeWork and Flatiron School are pledging more than \u00a31 million in scholarships to groups underrepresented in technology jobs \u2014 including women and people from nontraditional backgrounds \u2014 over the next year. To achieve this, Flatiron School will partner with a number of organizations, including AllBright, Code Bar, and Women Who Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement of the London campus comes about a month after Flatiron School celebrated the opening of its first campus inside a WeWork location. The courses at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/buildings\/white-house--washington-DC\">WeWork White House<\/a> in Washington, DC begin in April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also announced last month was the debut of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accesslabs.org\/\">Access Labs<\/a>, a new initiative powered by WeWork and Flatiron School. It\u2019s a 15-week software engineering program that aims to increase access to great jobs in tech fields for lower-income New Yorkers. Students won\u2019t begin paying tuition until after they graduate and find employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With partnerships with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/blog\/posts\/wework-x-2u\">2U<\/a> (an online education platform that streamlines access to graduate-level courses at top universities) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/blog\/posts\/wework-x-sofi\">SoFi<\/a> (which helps people save money by refinancing their student loans), WeWork is committed to make learning a lifelong process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1820,"featured_media":3000001522,"parent":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"news_tag":[43923,43929],"class_list":["post-186","news","type-news","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v22.4 (Yoast SEO v25.3.1) -
