Elle \u00e9tait aussi la seule \u00e9l\u00e8ve noire dans son \u00e9cole primaire. Quelques ann\u00e9es plus tard, dans sa classe de premier cycle \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 Bentley de Waltham dans le Massachusetts, il n&rsquo;y avait que 54 hommes noirs et une poign\u00e9e de femmes noires sur 4&nbsp;000 \u00e9tudiants, se souvient Izzy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab&nbsp;Je n&rsquo;en garde pas un mauvais souvenir&nbsp;\u00bb, explique Izzy Jacques, 28&nbsp;ans, qui travaille maintenant comme gestionnaire de programme d&rsquo;affaires dans les bureaux <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/fr-FR\/buildings\/33-arch-st--boston--MA\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/fr-FR\/buildings\/33-arch-st--boston--MA\">WeWork 33 Arch St<\/a> de Boston. \u00ab&nbsp;Cependant, mon exp\u00e9rience universitaire m&rsquo;a fait comprendre qu&rsquo;en mati\u00e8re de diversit\u00e9 et d&rsquo;inclusion, la ville de Boston avait encore beaucoup \u00e0 faire&nbsp;\u00bb, ajoute-t-elle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Convaincue de l&rsquo;importance de la diversit\u00e9 et de l&rsquo;inclusion,&nbsp;elle a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de voir ce qu&rsquo;elle pouvait faire \u00e0 ce sujet. Sa r\u00e9ponse,&nbsp;ce sont les \u00ab&nbsp;Third Thursdays&nbsp;\u00bb, un \u00e9v\u00e8nement WeWork mensuel dont le but est de mettre en avant des g\u00e9rants d&rsquo;entreprise et des influenceurs noirs et latinos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces \u00e9v\u00e9nements sont l&rsquo;occasion pour les personnes de couleur appartenant \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 WeWork de trouver non seulement le soutien professionnel, mais aussi un soutien moral. \u00ab&nbsp;Le public profite de ce moment pour poser tout un tas de questions aux intervenants&nbsp;\u00bb, ajoute-t-elle. \u00ab&nbsp;De leur c\u00f4t\u00e9, les intervenants re\u00e7oivent des conseils d&rsquo;experts de la part des membres du public pour les aider \u00e0 faire avancer leurs causes.&nbsp;\u00bb R\u00e9cemment,&nbsp;Shannon Clarke,&nbsp;fondatrice de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.queenandbabybox.com\/\">Queen and Baby<\/a>,&nbsp;est venue parler de son parcours pour lancer son entreprise. Son intervention lui a permis de se faire de nouveaux contacts tout en renfor\u00e7ant la visibilit\u00e9 de sa marque. \u00ab&nbsp;Shannon a \u00e9galement eu un grand nombre de retours de la part du public concernant les actions \u00e0 mettre en place pour que sa marque passe au niveau sup\u00e9rieur&nbsp;\u00bb, explique Izzy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour sa part, Izzy est absolument ravie de voir les r\u00e9sultats concrets et les nouvelles connections qui d\u00e9coulent de ces \u00e9v\u00e9nements. \u00ab&nbsp;Chez mes employeurs pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents, mes id\u00e9es ne d\u00e9passaient pas toujours le stade du projet&nbsp;\u00bb,&nbsp;explique-t-elle. Chez WeWork, continue-t-elle, on peut \u00e0 la fois avoir \u00ab&nbsp;un gagne-pain <em>et<\/em> une passion&nbsp;\u00bb. Et sa passion, c&rsquo;est de cr\u00e9er encore plus d&rsquo;\u00e9v\u00e9nements inclusifs dans le cadre de son emploi. \u00ab&nbsp;Beaucoup d&rsquo;organisations diff\u00e9rentes ont anim\u00e9 des ateliers de travail et organis\u00e9 des \u00e9v\u00e9nements dans nos bureaux, notamment des groupes LGBTQIA, les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s dirig\u00e9es par des femmes et l&rsquo;Association Nationale des Ing\u00e9nieurs Noirs, pour n&rsquo;en citer que quelques uns.&nbsp;\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/ideas\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/05\/izzy-jacques-with-group-laughing-on-couch-body-image-.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5093\" \/><figcaption>\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0C&rsquo;est merveilleux de penser que je peux,\u00a0avec WeWork,\u00a0jouer un r\u00f4le dans l&rsquo;\u00e9volution de la ville\u00a0\u00bb dit (avec raison) Izzy. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Izzy est ravie de pouvoir puiser dans ses exp\u00e9riences pass\u00e9es pour aider les gens de couleurs \u00e0 s&rsquo;\u00e9lever dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de Boston. &nbsp;\u00ab&nbsp;C&rsquo;est merveilleux de penser que je peux,&nbsp;avec WeWork,&nbsp;jouer un r\u00f4le dans l&rsquo;\u00e9volution de la ville&nbsp;\u00bb dit (avec raison) Izzy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous avons demand\u00e9 \u00e0 Izzy comment elle \u00e9tait arriv\u00e9e chez WeWork, pourquoi elle n&rsquo;avait jamais quitt\u00e9 sa ville natale, et qui elle admirait le plus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Son invit\u00e9(e) de r\u00eave \u00e0 un diner&nbsp;:<\/strong> Izzy adorerait inviter Michelle Obama, expliquant qu&rsquo;elle est \u00ab&nbsp;si intelligente, si pos\u00e9e, si inspirante.&nbsp;\u00bb \u00ab&nbsp;Elle est tellement en harmonie avec ses racines, d&rsquo;o\u00f9 elle vient, son parcours et elle s&rsquo;exprime sans d\u00e9tour sur l&rsquo;impact que tout cela a eu sur elle&nbsp;\u00bb, explique Izzy. \u00ab&nbsp;En plus,&nbsp;Michelle a toujours un style impeccable&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp;je veux bien des astuces.&nbsp;\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Son endroit pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 sur Terre&nbsp;:<\/strong> Les quais de l&rsquo;Esplanade de Boston. \u00ab&nbsp;C&rsquo;est un endroit apaisant, nous explique Izzy. Je viens ici pour m&rsquo;asseoir et r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir tout en regardant l&rsquo;eau et les bateaux.&nbsp;\u00bb Izzy, qui pr\u00e9cise que c&rsquo;est suffisamment isol\u00e9 pour que l&rsquo;on n&rsquo;entende pas les bruits de circulation, recommande d&rsquo;y aller au milieu de semaine pour avoir tout l&rsquo;espace pour soi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pourquoi elle n&rsquo;a jamais quitt\u00e9 Boston&nbsp;:<\/strong> \u00ab&nbsp;J&rsquo;ai pens\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9m\u00e9nager ailleurs, mais pour l&rsquo;instant je suis bien ici&nbsp;\u00bb r\u00e9fl\u00e9chit Izzy. \u00ab&nbsp;Je connais cette ville jusque dans ses moindres recoins, et je pense qu&rsquo;il y a des choses \u00e0 faire dans le domaine de la diversit\u00e9 et de l&rsquo;inclusion avant de penser \u00e0 partir.&nbsp;\u00bb <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ses loisirs&nbsp;:&nbsp;<\/strong>\u00ab&nbsp;J&rsquo;aime faire de la randonn\u00e9e en montagne pr\u00e8s de chez moi&nbsp;!&nbsp;\u00bb sourit-elle, tout en pr\u00e9cisant que tout le monde ne consid\u00e8re pas les Blue Hills comme des montagnes, contrairement aux habitants de Boston.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Comment elle est arriv\u00e9e chez WeWork&nbsp;:<\/strong> WeWork a ouvert des bureaux dans l&rsquo;immeuble o\u00f9 elle travaillait depuis 4 ans. \u00ab&nbsp;Je me rendais au travail quand les portes de l&rsquo;ascenseur sont ouvertes \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tage de WeWork, se souvient-elle. J&rsquo;ai vu des gens hyper heureux, des baristas, entendu la musique&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp; tout le monde avait l&rsquo;air aux anges&nbsp;!&nbsp;\u00bb Quand l&rsquo;ascenseur s&rsquo;est ouvert sur son \u00e9tage, elle a regard\u00e9 autour d&rsquo;elle toutes ces bureaux \u00e0 cloison sans \u00e2me. \u00ab&nbsp;J&rsquo;ai dit \u00e0 tous mes coll\u00e8gues d&rsquo;aller jeter un \u0153il au sixi\u00e8me \u00e9tage&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp;qu&rsquo;il fallait qu&rsquo;ils voient ce que j&rsquo;avais vu, continue-t-elle.
