They had just taken a holiday, tried to purchase the sheets from their hotel and found that luxury bedding came with an $800 price tag. Brooklinen\u2019s mission was to create high-quality sheets at a more affordable price point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Almost immediately after the launch, Brooklinen\u2019s bedding was in high demand. Vicki and Rich believed it was important to stay lean and agile as their business took off so they could jump on growth opportunities quickly \u2013 whether that was developing new products, starting initiatives or growing their team. However, they weren\u2019t sure what their headcount would be in the coming months, so it was challenging to predict how much space they\u2019d need. \u201cWe didn\u2019t know what the future held for us, so we wanted a workspace that was extremely flexible\u201d says Rich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Brooklinen at WeWork | Member Stories | WeWork\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OQZ3yYbFqks?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2  id=\"the-solution-a-place-that-enables-brooklinen-to-grow-their-business-and-team\"class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The solution: a place that enables Brooklinen to grow their business and team<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The founders realised that, by moving their business to a WeWork location, they could get the space they needed to house their growing team with the flexibility to navigate that uncertain future. Rich and Vicki try to forecast their headcount six months ahead, but that can prove challenging in a high-growth organisation. WeWork has been with them every step of the way. \u201cWe moved in when we were only two people. Now, we&#8217;ve scaled up within the same building\u201d explains Rich. \u201cWe are now one of the biggest teams here\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Partnering with WeWork has helped Brooklinen save money by reducing their capital expenditure and making operating costs more predictable. They\u2019ve been able to invest those savings into developing new products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WeWork has also helped Brooklinen with talent attraction and retention. Being at WeWork helps Brooklinen show candidates their commitment to a positive day-to-day employee experience \u2013 whether it\u2019s the friendly face in reception, the round-the-clock refreshments or even WeWork networking opportunities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jaime Petkanics, Vice President of People at Brooklinen, explains: \u201cWhen people are assessing job offers, they&#8217;re not just looking at the offer that they get at the end \u2013 they&#8217;re thinking about the entire experience. Space is a major part of that decision-making process.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brooklinen&#8217;s future is bright. As Vicki explains: \u201cWhen we think about growth, we really think about growing the business within WeWork. We&#8217;ve been really happy, and we just want to continue to expand.
