WeWork Labs is The We Company’s global innovation platform and home for early stage startups. In order to provide these features, we collect and use Personal Information. This WeWork Labs Privacy Policy describes how WeWork Labs uses certain categories of Personal Information and provides other information specific to WeWork Labs. Please see The We Company’s Global Privacy Policy for additional information, including for the definitions of capitalized terms that are not defined here.
How We Use Your Personal Information
This section supplements our Global Privacy Policy to provide more information about some of the ways in which we use your information that are specific to WeWork Labs.
Corporate Members, Partners, and Sponsors. If you are a corporate member, partner, or sponsor, the Personal Information we use includes:
Contact Information and Professional Information so that we may identify you and contact you, including to respond to inquiries or troubleshooting requests and to deliver notifications and other operational communications;
Contact Information and Verification Information to protect against fraud, abuse, or harm, verify your identity, and otherwise provide a Secure Environment (generally, to meet our legal obligations or to meet our legitimate interests);
Payment Information, where appropriate, to process a financial transaction that you have requested, including your purchase of the Services (generally, to meet contractual our obligations to you); and
Other Personal Information to tailor our marketing to you and provide you with the Services, including, but not limited to (i) providing you with online and offline events; (ii) connecting you with the community, social media channels, apps, and websites; (iii) providing Services that you request through our booking and sign-in tools; and (iv) processing the data or files that you input, upload, or store with the Services, such as to fulfill search queries that you submit or process documents that you upload to the Services.
Corporate Members’, Partners’, and Sponsors’ Employees. If you are a corporate member’s, partner’s, or sponsor’s employee, the Personal Information we use includes:
Contact Information and Professional Information so that we may identify you and contact you, including to respond to inquiries or troubleshooting requests and to deliver notifications and other operational communications, provide you with a digital or physical access badge, and connect you with the community;
Contact Information and Verification Information to protect against fraud, abuse, or harm, verify your identity, and otherwise provide a Secure Environment (generally, to meet our legal obligations or to meet our legitimate interests);
Payment Information, where appropriate, to process a financial transaction that you have requested, including your purchase of the Services (generally, to meet our contractual obligations to you);
Email Calendar Information, by integrating with your corporate email calendar, to enable you to book conference rooms and receive meeting notifications. We also analyze the data regarding the conference rooms that you book to help us improve our products and Services (e.g., by offering additional conference rooms, reassigning conference space to desk space, and identifying which conference rooms are preferred) and ensure that we can provide the most efficient Services possible;
Office Preferences to tailor your work environment to you (e.g., by adjusting your desk height, cooling the room, and starting the fan); and
Other Personal Information, such as the events and accelerators you have attended, to tailor our marketing to you and provide you with the Services, including, but not limited to (i) providing you with online and offline events; (ii) connecting you with the community, social media channels, apps, and websites; (iii) providing Services that you request through our booking and sign-in tools; and (iv) processing the data or files that you input, upload, or store with the Services, such as to fulfill search queries that you submit or process documents that you upload to the Services.
Remember, this Privacy Policy does not govern your relationship with mentors. Personal Information you choose to share with mentors is not confidential.
Mentors. If you are a mentor, the Personal Information we use includes:

Your name and email address, whether provided by you or your host, to identify you and provide you with a digital or physical access badge;
Contact Information and Professional Information, such as information you submit through our website, so that we may identify you and contact you, including to respond to inquiries that we receive from you;
Contact Information and Verification Information to protect against fraud, abuse, or harm, verify your identity and the purpose of your visit, and otherwise provide a Secure Environment (generally, to meet our legal obligations or to meet our legitimate interests);
Payment Information, where appropriate, to process a financial transaction that you have requested, including your purchase of the Services (generally, to meet our contractual obligations to you);
Email Calendar Information, depending on the length of your visit or the Services that you access, to enable you to book conference rooms and receive meeting notifications. We also analyze the data regarding the conference rooms that you book to improve our products and Services (e.g., by offering additional conference rooms, reassigning conference space to desk space, and identifying which conference rooms are preferred) and ensure that we can provide the most efficient Services possible;
Office Preferences, depending upon the length of your visit or the Services that you access, to tailor your work environment to you (e.g., by adjusting your desk height, cooling the room, and starting the fan); and

All. Whether you are a corporate member, partner, or sponsor, corporate member’s, partner’s or sponsor’s employee, mentor, visitor, guest, or other end user, we also use your Device and Usage Information and Other Personal Information to prepare aggregate use statistics, analyze, provide, better tailor, and improve our products and Services, tailor and provide you promotions and advertising, both on and off the Services, otherwise enhance your engagement with us, and as otherwise described in our Global Privacy Policy.
