Designed by Cesar Pelli and originally opened in 1975, the Pacific Design Center is a West Hollywood landmark. I’ve been a member for almost 5 years, so I’ve seen the fluctuations in membership, and periods of relative emptiness during peak pandemic. Thankfully, it’s back to a state of higher energy and good social vibes. However, regardless of what phase it’s in, the staff have always been fantastic! Everyone is very accommodating and friendly - from the Community Leads at the front desk, to the cleaning and support staff who keep this place tidy, fresh, and pleasant to be inside during the work day. It’s truly a great community of people, and it fosters a positive work environment. I have a single desk private office, and I appreciate the ample natural light afforded by the all-glass layout. This is a double edged sword though, as your privacy is sacrificed and noises seem to echo more. So, that’s one major complaint. However, it should be noted that WeWork offers a partial frosting of the glass if you want more privacy. I love the location though! The recently renovated West Hollywood Park is a world class small park, and just right across the street. A short walk from there is Santa Monica Blvd., with plenty of food and drink establishments… great for a much needed lunch break! Plus the location itself, at the Pacific Design Center, is very cool and fascinating. Overall, I highly recommend considering this location if you’re looking for an affordable co-work space or simply somewhere to impress a client or have a meeting with killer views and good vibes.
